Hey, hi, I got this crazy look in my eye because it’s Maglio Markets In A Minute and we’re on location and we’re in South Texas. So because of that, I figure probably a good idea to do some sort of special edition, so what I’m gonna do is, I’m gonna do this the most Texas way possible and that means sitting in the bed of that pickup truck, in front of those palm trees and next to that Maglio McAllen sign. So I’m gonna go sit in the back of that truck and let’s get this thing underway. All right, I am here sitting on the top of this pickup truck, here in the parking lot of beautiful Maglio McAllen, here to give you the Maglio Markets In A Minute update. So I had to come down to Texas here, a quick trip, I don’t know how long we’ll be here for, but while we’re here, we’re going to make the best of it. I should have my lapel microphone on, shout out at my dad for watching last week’s episode and doing something about it, so hey you’re two for two big guys, we appreciate you, thanks for the viewership. So May Manske can’t be here, she doesn’t quite have the travel budget yet, maybe we’ll bring her down here eventually and do some filming, because this selfie-style makes my nose look ten times bigger and I just I shake a lot, I talk with my hands, you know how it goes. So yeah we’re in McAllen, I’m gonna jump right into the market update, I think last week’s episode was probably too sexy, I don’t know what’s gonna happen with this one, will Youtube take it down because it’s pushing the envelope? I guess wait and see, but you don’t know until you know, you know? So let’s get into it, market update, ready set let’s roll. Down here in Texas lime’s are very cheap, still, some lemons are available though, so that’s going to help with the California price being a little higher on lemons and not starting in district three so that’s helping alleviate the price. You’re seeing prices in the low teens for a choice lemon down here otherwise, you’ve got Mexico finally starting on some of their vegs so because of that, you’ve got cucumbers cheap, you’ve got yellow squash cheap, you’ve got zucchini cheap and then in the next couple of weeks, you’ll start seeing some peppers coming out of Sinaloa which will help alleviate the pepper market right now because South Georgia not producing too much. South Carolina is done, Florida are they picking? Not, so as a result, selfies-style, those are going up a little bit. This week, not terribly, but a little bit more scarce than they used to be. Tomatoes holding steady, North Florida hasn’t started yet, California still has some for maybe a week left, Alabama is virtually done, besides that, you’ve got California going on, their lettuce is still the best they can. The market is still crazy high on lettuce out there, we wish them the best of luck. California celery is still very cheap, cauliflower up a little bit, broccoli down a little bit down in South Texas. Ready, stop! I mean I guess I kind of dipped into the minute with a theme in South Texas, ready to stop part but hey it was fun. What will next week bring, I don’t know.
