Welcome back to what is set up to be probably the most seductive episode of Maglio Markets In A Minute to date because if you couldn’t tell from my pleather couch, we’re coming at you live from the Maglio Company’s corporate headquarters. This morning, here in Glendale, Wisconsin. We got the IKEA furniture, we got the company PowerPoint, we even have January 2007’s Rob report. Whatever you need, we got you covered, here in Glendale. So welcome back, doing this selfie-style today, Manske couldn’t make it, so balancing my phone on an Office Depot easel, not sponsored. If it falls it’ll be hilarious, if it doesn’t fall, it’ll be a modern-day miracle. Either way, the viewer is the real winner so welcome back. Last week’s episode raves reviews, good critics in the produce industry calling it the most electric, informative market update to hit the industry ever. So last week we kept the market update short, people seem to like that so we’ll do that again this week. We’ll put a clock somewhere here or landscape, put it right here if you can make that happen, that’d be cool. Be like talking in the clock like watching it like against the clock, it’ll be cool because I have no idea what time it is but we’ll make it happen here. So as the kids say, ready set let’s roll. Tomatoes out west, things are still hovering the same price point as last week, supplies are going down, quality is going down, as a result of that supply going down. You’ve got Roma tomatoes going up as people start substituting grape tomatoes, cherry tomatoes also going up this week, lime market coming down, leafy veg out west continues to be a roller coaster ride whether it’s romaine green leaf, liner wrap, everything is going up this week so supplies are very tight. Active guide triggers whatever you want to call it, it’s happening. Melons are steady this week, cauliflower coming down, broccoli coming down, avocado staying steady, apple crop is a little later than they thought because of the rains over Memorial Day, about 10 less than projections that they had about a month ago. We’ll see how that develops, let’s see what’s going on, we got squashes coming down from Michigan. Down to Georgia, starting to pick a few down there at the same time Mexico starting some market, coming down on yellow squash, zucchini squash, and also cucumbers at the same time. What else is exciting, Canada has some greenhouse tomatoes going for the first time this season, boom. Hopefully, it looked good, I like how I keep ending it aggressively, it really wakes you up if you fell asleep for the market update.
