Maglio Markets In A Minute fam, good morning, happy Wednesday before Christmas. Thanks for tuning in, nice to have you here this morning, so yesterday we released the overrated/underrated, you know with me and Sam K. filming, and so that was a big hit, people seem to like that for whatever reason. So we will keep it going, the series lives on, we’ll see what else comes here in 2021, so thank you for being part of that, but today we had a quick market update. I’m going to use this poster from my grandmother’s living room from 1984. The frame is still pulling up well, so I’m going to talk about some of those items. We’re kind of vegetable-heavy. We got called out on mangoes, we got to talk about those, don’t worry, they’re on the list. So we’re gonna talk about that, gonna use this poster, I’m gonna wear a sweater with a rooster wearing a sweater, it’s like Christmas sweater rooster inception, kind of a big deal. That’s probably the most exciting thing happening though in the produce world this week, so you’re welcome. May Manske, hi, Merry Christmas. We’ll put a time up here, I think last week I went above my head too, I was like doing this, so Manske, up here. We got the timer, I’m going to start here, then I’m going to go off-roading, let me go off-board, top some other items, we’re going to go quick because these things can’t go too long, you guys don’t care about the market update, you like to hear me talk, but I still get long-winded, so we’re just gonna roll into it. May Manske, ready, set, let’s roll. Right here, starting with bananas flat, papaya is also relatively flat, picking up a little bit in pricing this week. Over here we have breadfruit, not a real thing, grow up, you made that up Peter Pan. Over here, mangoes, kent’s, Keats, imported stuff right now coming from Brazil, coming from Peru, Mexico has started a little bit, but not a whole lot of volume so far. The reason is that markets are up a couple of dollars, but still very much in the six, seven dollar FOB range right now. Over here you have rambutan, everybody’s favorite exotic Honduran fruit, which is flat this week. Passion fruit is very expensive per pound but worth it. The market is relatively flat, all things considering this week, pineapple up slightly, coconut relatively flat, jackfruit up a little bit because of some colder nights in Mexico, and over here we have star fruit imported from Honduras, as well that mark is up a little bit because again, the rain that came through with the hurricanes kind of hurt the crop a little bit, so the market is up. Besides that, cantaloupe, honeydew is still a little tight right now, watermelon’s also a little tight, we’re talking very expensive for right now, winter melon season you know how it goes, tomatoes in Florida, good luck, rounds of rounds, aromas, grapes all going up. The same in Mexico, supplies are tight, the nights are cold, get a sweater to stay warm, boom! I liked how that finished. I felt really good sometimes like I just do this one take and they don’t go well, that one went well, so thank you for being a part of it. I think this helped, this was fun, we enjoyed that even though you probably can’t read it. It probably says something weird, except for exotic fruit, as it should but thanks for being a part of it, I had a blast, you had a blast, from our family here at Maglio Companies to yours, Merry Christmas.
