Good morning Maglio Markets In A Minute fam! Today we are coming at you from a little bit of a subdued background here in a corner office of Maglio McAllen. You got the Maglio Companies there on the wall, you got a map of Mequon, Wisconsin, respect, but today we couldn’t have a crazy background, we couldn’t have me on the roof or me saddling a burro on the side of the road. We have way too much going on in today’s episode to try to even take your mind off of all this content. It’s a big day today for Maglio Markets In A Minute, so let me jump right into it. Today, November 11th, a big birthday shout out to our Caitie Bowers, Director of Human Resources for the Maglio Companies. She is everything and more the reason we have the best people industry, the best company in the industry, the taco to my bell, the reason that I’m probably not in jail, so Caitie Bowers, we love you, we miss you, we hope you have just the best day. Moving forward now from you know the personal side of things, company side we downplayed last week. Last week, yes I was on the roof, it was very scenic, very romantic by myself but it was episode 10. I’ve been talking to this stupid camera for 10 weeks in a row now, even more than that with the teasers and we didn’t even do anything and people are like “hey no no big 10th-anniversary celebration?” we have one, we’re gonna do by some request a Q&A, so drop some questions in the LinkedIn and the Instagram, or Youtube, what questions do you have for me? Personal, work, anything, I’ll answer them. We’re going to release that the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so not next week, the week after. I think it’s going to be fun the people are looking forward to it, we’re going to give it to them, so we got a birthday, we gotta we have a special edition coming out, and we’ve got a giveaway coming up, so there’s gonna be a special question at the end of the episode today, you get that question right, you’re getting a special gift. All right, so just stay tuned. Now I got you locked in for the rest of the episode, you’re welcome in advance. So that’s all going on, plus markets, I mean things are getting a little crazy out there, so we got transition going east, west, north, south, where is Paul gonna have his hands for this conversation? We gotta jump right into it, May, I hi, May I miss you, by the way, wherever you want to put it, I mean you could put it right under the Maglio logo, like that would be ideal because I’ll be all over the place because like I said, we got a lot going on this episode. So let’s just roll with it, so markets, ready, set, let’s roll. Tomatoes, California’s done now we’re in Florida, now there’s rain, now there’s heat, now there’s bloom drop, you got markets going up on tomatoes, extra-large, good luck, large, medium, they’re around prices are high, Mexico also coming out with some high prices, about a dollar per pound on romas and rounds don’t expect that to last for too long, but we’ll see how the weather holds up over in California, transitioning from Salinas, down to Chiron, down to Yuma. Got a lot of problems out there, plus did it snow in Huron? You didn’t hear it from me, you heard it from the meteorologist, it’s the truth. So lettuce markets can’t catch any relief going back up, things are getting wild out there. Down here in Texas, also getting wild. Limes are a little tighter than expected, getting ready for that holiday push, holding some loads back at the border, building the price up. Also, down here you have green peppers available for the first time, so that market getting some relief down here in Mexico, also you’ve got South Carolina and Georgia going with peppers at the same time to try to level the market a little bit. Watermelon going up, imported melons a couple of weeks away, avocado steady, asparagus steady, what else is going on? I had some blueberries right before this and they were fantastic boom! That was not a market update, that was just me saying that I had some blueberries, let’s leave it in there, I think it counts for my time and we’ll see how I did. I don’t know, so the question of the day to win the special prize, Uncle PJ, here it is, we mentioned Caitie Bowers earlier, Caitie J. Bowers what does the “J” stand for? If you can get that right, put it in the comments, first one to get it right wins a special something from your Uncle PJ. So put it down there, first, one to get it, we’ll have our eyes peeled for it, you should get excited about it, we’re excited about it, obviously, we’re always pretty excited about it, so plus I mean it’s Caitie so come on, game over. So put that down there, we’ll see what you get, thanks for tuning in again today. A little off track, but man that’s a lot going on, so thanks for hanging out, we appreciate it. Next week, episode 12, then week after that, special edition, and episode 13 if you can say without stuttering, lord knows I can’t. So thank you again, have a great rest of the week, any questions, let us know. We’re down here in South Texas, your South Texas hub for all things produce or whatever you want to talk about, 414-906-8800 PJM@maglioproduce.com, or again slide the DMs. Thank you very much for watching, we appreciate it, as always, catch you later.
