Oh, hi, I barely saw you there. Maglio Market In A Minute fam, good morning from my desk, because this is gonna be a very casual, short holiday week edition. I’m running out of intros to do but I am here in Milwaukee, we are thrilled, everyone’s seen the desk tour video, got a lot of likes, thanks for all your support on that one, but today, very quick, very brief, we’re just gonna hit it and be done with it. I thought I’d change up the scenery just a little bit here so hopefully, everyone enjoys that. The light in the conference room just does nothing for my skin, so for all of our 40 to 60-year-old women out there who are our key audience at this point, we’re thinking about you before we film these, so you’re welcome. But today, jump right into it, let’s do a market update. Yesterday we released episode two of the holiday edition, I should say, of overrated/underrated and it’s been brought to my attention that when I say overrated I’m not saying the “D”, I get too excited. You know how that goes, it’s me, it’s produced, we just we get going right, so it’s a gift and a curse, I’m very much like spider-man in that sense so that was yesterday, holiday edition, overrated/underrated, go check it out, it’s the best eight minutes you’ll spend all week, so besides that, let’s jump right into the markets. A whole lot going on, it’s a holiday week, it’s pretty quiet out there, but we can bang it out and we can do it, we can do it in less than a minute, this is the last one of 2020. This is episode 16, 16 weeks of Maglio markets in many minutes, so we gotta hit it and we gotta quit it, real big this week, so May Manske, hi, where are you by the way? I’m in Milwaukee, where are you? She’s big leagued me, all girls find reasons to avoid me, so May, you’re not alone. Anywhere in here is fine, it’s a nice window, it’s the warehouse by the way. Milwaukee, one day we’ll do a tour I promise. May you’re getting sidetracked, come on don’t lose focus here. So markets, we can do this, people love the ready, set, let’s roll intro by the way, I am definitely gonna take that well through this whole series, so episode 16 get ready because we’re saying the same thing. May got the clock here, I’m chatty, I’m excited, let’s jump into it. I’m going to try to go A to Z, I’m going to try to, I can, a hoof that’s a lot to go through, A to Z and keep in order. Here we go, ready, set, let’s roll. Apples are steady, avocados markets pushing up a little bit on those, I would say they’re steady but push and watch out for those in the next 10 days or so. Let’s see here, asparagus going way up because Mexico’s crop has stopped a little bit, waiting for the imports to start from South America because of that market pushing up, keep your eye out for it. Berries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, all pretty steady, strawberries going up, cold nights not working so well. Unlike a McDonald’s deal where on cold days, hot deals, you get the price of the second big mac for the temperature it was yesterday. Shout out Wisconsin McDonald’s. Broccoli up, cauliflower up, celery up, cold weather in the growing region out west, and then Yuma, it’s not helping anything. Citrus out there also going up just a little bit, cucumbers coming down, not a huge demand for the holidays, same with eggplant, very flat, grapes the imports have started so the Chilean product is coming in. There’s still some domestic stuff here shipping out of California, some Mexican stuff but the Chilean stuff will start which will bring the market value up on that. Better berry, let’s see here, I want grapes that means I need to go to lettuces. Lettuce is relatively flat, liner lettuce is getting a little heavier, so the packs are getting a little better because of the weather that they’re experiencing, so that’s going well, melon so offshore, melons also hot right now, so offshore melons having still a little bit of the residual effects of hurricane Ita, that happened probably two months ago, I’m going very long today, but those melons are definitely going up. The bigger the fruit, the bigger the price, we’re talking mid-20s for a melon right now, can open honeydew, sorry about that but it is what it is, you’re probably going to experience that well into February is what we’re expecting here and then oh, oh, for onions, definitely steady right now, potatoes are steady right now, squashes, zucchini, yellow squash, is very quiet, not too exciting right now. Tomatoes, cold weather, Florida, Mexico, hasn’t started. This market update is more than one minute, you’re welcome, cut May, bam!
